This Online Tool is to help you decide if you can apply for a Time Order and whether it is appropriate.

Although Time Orders are available UK wide, this tool focuses on people applying for them in Scotland. For more information about applying for them elsewhere in the UK, see here.

What is a Time Order?

A Time Order is a court order that allows you time to repay your debts, particularly debts owed under Hire Purchase Agreements (HP), Conditional Sale Agreements and Personal Contract Purchase Plans (PCP).

They can also allow you to keep the item that you purchased, whilst giving you time to repay the debt.

Time Orders can only be used for Consumer Credit Agreement debts.
